All papers and prints handmade and printed by the artist. Covers are cast paper made from cotton, painted while being formed using pigmented flax pulp. Comprising the interior of the panels are six original color prints. These linocuts are printed over monotypes, on papers made of cotton and flax. Bagasse papers cover the exterior of the panels. Panels are hinged with cloth.
Toscana is a panorama of scenes I drew on site in rural Tuscany. An olive tree seen from close range, a farm house and tile-roofed church, open into vinyards and sunflower fields, to a full tree-covered hillside. The colors reflect the pure hues seen everywhere in this countryside: blue sky, terra cotta roof, silver-green leaves, dusty orange earth, yellow-gold fields.
