Collaborative stop motion animation by Lynn Sures and Salvatore Pirrone
Fellow artist Sal Pirrone and I decided to create, together, a 5 minute stop motion animation in one month for a short film festival in Atlanta, GA. We met every weekend in my studio, brainstormed our content, built a set with numerous changeable scenes of handmade pulp painted papers, created moveable avatars, and in my garage shot the film step by step on Sal’s iPhone in 7000 frames. In my dining room I learned Premiere Pro to assemble our jpegs and add the titles. Sal and Rick McSorley drummed the music which Sal orchestrated and which I dropped into our Premiere Pro film. Done!
